Patience is staying deliberate while something takes time. It lets a delay, a strong feeling, or an unfinished answer exist without forcing a reaction.

A teammate has not replied to a proposal. You agree on a check-in time, keep working on what you can control and leave space for their response. In this quiz, that can illustrate Patience: tolerating uncertainty without forcing an immediate answer.
Putting off the conversation indefinitely because it feels awkward is a different pattern. Waiting is not automatically Patience. Ask what information or opportunity more time could provide, and what would tell you it is time to act.
Patience concerns your response to delay; Kindness concerns another person’s needs; Perseverance concerns continuing the work. You can wait calmly without noticing what someone needs, or persist at a task while feeling impatient.

Patience concerns how you respond to friction and delay. Kindness concerns whose needs you notice and how you help. A calm response and a caring response are related but distinct.
For one thing you are waiting on, set a reasonable check-in date. Until then, put your attention on what you can influence.
